Guillaume SCHULL was awarded an international prize: the GAEDE Prize of the German Vacuum Society.
This prize, awarded by Dr. Markus Dunkel and supported by the Leybold GmbH (Cologne), is awarded every year since 1986. It rewards fundamental work, applications, methods and processes related to the areas of interest of DGV :
Physics and vacuum technologies
Materials and processes in solid-state electronics
Nanosciences and nanotechnologies
The prize includes a diploma, a model of the first molecular pump invented by Wolfgang Gaede, and a sum of 10,000 €
The award recognizes exceptional achievements of young scientists under the age of 40.
